Re: 2018

seems very hard to quantify accuratetly how much time gained that can be attributed to the transmission itself. If you still brake with the same foot as before and driving with just one hand on the wheel is just the same as with two hands, it could be quantifiable, since pretty much only one variab...

Re: 2018

I've done some testing, looked at graphs in GPLRA, compared my laptimes, read a few posts, etc. Not just now, but also over the years. My gut feeling says the laptimes among the different shifter software rank like this: 1:29.6 - GPLShift without clutch 1:30.0 - original (paddles / sequential) 1:30....

Re: Long Night of the Ring ....2018?! o0 ;)

In the end, it's a matter of preference: whether we prioritise a compact schedule, safety, or competition. At any rate, it's not our decision to make. ^^ @ David: At some points during the event 2 or 3 people were wondering when the server was going to be started for next race. Would it be too much ...

Re: Long Night of the Ring ....2018?! o0 ;)

Funnily enough, 5 minutes of practice sounds very short when the track section that matters is 3 minutes away from the pits. If the car doesn't work in Fuchsröhre on the first attempt, there won't be another chance to test the setup. Having a spot on the grid unoccupied because someone didn't stay f...

Re: Long Night of the Ring ....2018?! o0 ;)

I guess there still would be the option to use the grid tool and take the final standings as the order for the GP. ;) Single-lap qualifying has its perks, especially if cars are released via whisper at 20-second intervals in order of the standings, but that's difficult to set up at 2:00 AM. Also, pe...

Re: Long Night of the Ring ....2018?! o0 ;)

Does serving a stop & go still work with those pitstalls?

Re: Standings Long Night of the Ring 2017

This was the start to race 5 in 2012: https://abload.de/img/r5t1kkub6.gif Guess who's in the #9 Ferrari coming into shot. It reminds me of those little animations they have on the screens at bowling alleys. :weg: This time, I had a similar moment in race 1 and wasn't as lucky. But that's the...

Re: Driver nationality

Hi Dag,

this may be the page you're referring to:
http://gplpp.com/
How To -> Other Stuff -> Your country

I don't know if this would affect online racing.

Re: Anmeldung / Registration Lange Ringnacht 30.12.2017

my setups for all 7 cars + Lotus PB replays The amount of fuel in the GP setups may be off because I haven't managed to finish the race all that often. Also, the car may bottom out in Fuchsröhre. The setups are in v1.3 format. @ David: someone from the NR2003 league I'm racing in has sho...
